family fun at cod beck reservoir- osmotherley
This job was not your typical shoot at Osmotherley, a good friend of mine showed me some new locations around Cod Beck a few weekends ago when we met up for a socially distanced walk close to the reservoir. Whilst on the walk I knew it would be a great location for a family shoot and here are the results!
I love a good family shoot- crazy kids, crazy dogs, high energy, snacks and sugar and the Ducker family had it all! We had to adapt to the typical English weather with the sun coming in and out and the rain on and off all morning too! That being said we had a blast and I got to know the Ducker family well over a couple of hours.
If there is one key thing I learnt from this shoot it's to always pack some spare dog poop bags when you're doing a shoot with dogs, luckily we didn't run out but I did have to edit the odd poop out of some of the images, although Coco and Bertie more than made up for it by blessing me with their presence!
After an exhausting, fun filled day running around Ben was ready for a nap after carrying the kids half way round the location and it was thirsty work for us all so we ended the day with a cheeky pint in the local village pub!
Family shoots aren't straight forward but it's always great to see the reward of images that look like you didn't have to work for them.
