Peak district - Couples shoot

Jessica and Adam asked me to photograph them in their favourite place, the Peak District. We met near Ladybower Reservoir and took a stroll down by the water to enjoy skimming some stones and to take in the views before heading into the woods. I knew I wanted to do something different with this shoot and suggested to shoot at sunset and blue hour to capture the environment in the best light.

We then decided to hike to the top of Winnats Pass, a limestone valley located close to Castleton, to enjoy the beautiful views. After hiking up what was admittedly the wrong side of the hill, and with a lot of equipment may I add, we were treated with a sunset to remember. I really wanted to capture Jessica and Adam's love for walking and hiking out in the countryside and suggested that it might be nice for them to keep their boots on to reflect this.

It was great to spend a couple of hours with Jessica and Adam and make the most of the evening, it's these types of shoots that remind you of why you started with photography; to create photos that people will treasure for a lifetime, capturing them doing what they love.

I loved walking in the Peak District with Jessica and Adam and getting to create some amazing photos that reflect their love for walking and each other- so if you're planning to have a couples/ engagement shoot, lets do something special to you!
